OUR TOP 5 CUCINA RUSTICA FAVOURITES

Here at Cucina Rustica, our chefs work hard to ensure that we create the beautiful Italian flavours that allow our guests to lose themselves a little and forget where they are for an hour or two. When we created this menu, we hoped to steer away from the ‘typical’ Italian restaurant and give our diners an unforgettable experience, expanding the menu to cater for all foodie-types from fine meats, to fresh seafood along with deliciously moreish pizzas – well we are Italian after all! We’ve pulled together our 5 most popular dishes, voted by you, our loyal customers. Let us take you on a journey and show you exactly why you simply MUST try these dishes. (If you haven’t already!)

1. Involtini Di Vitello

When we develop our menus, we aim to incorporate ingredients from different regions of Italy. This particular favourite is traditionally a Sicilian dish which encapsulates asparagus in a veal roll with parma ham and mozzerella. Wet the dish by drizzling over our rich marsala wine sauce. Our recommendation: Although veal is actually a ‘white meat’ we would suggest teaming the Involtini Di Vitello with a glass of Merlot, this will complement the marsala wine sauce perfectly.

2. Spaghetti Allo Scoglio

It’s hard to go to an Italian restaurant and not look at the pasta offering at all and when it looks this good, how can you say no?! One of the restaurants most popular dishes is the Spaghetti Allo Scoglio. A hearty blend of spaghetti, tomatoes, garlic and parsley provide the perfect bed for the juicy king prawns, calamari and mussels.

3. Tournedo Rossini

For all the steak-lovers out there, the Tournedo Rossini has your name on it. Tender fillet steak, served on a bed of bread croutons and topped with duck pate and Madeira wine.Named after the late composer Gioachino Rossini, this is a popular classic amongst both the Italians and the french.Fun Fact: Many recipes in Le Marche have been created in his honour. Along with music, Rossini was also famous for being a real gourmet!

4. Faggotini Al Cinghiale

Indulge yourself in this desirably creamy pasta dish. The Faggotini al Cinghiale is one of our personal favourites that we simply refuse to take off the menu – not that you guys would let us! Wild boar filled pasta pockets, dripping in a light cream porcini sauce. For those that didn’t know – Porcini mushrooms are an extremely famous and delicious addition in Italian cuisine, with the nutty flavour finishing it the dish off perfectly.

5. Lobster Thermidor

And for the grand finale our Lobster Thermidor is a must-try. Covered by a drizzling of creamy, cheese sauce, this succulent shellfish envelopes a ton of delightful flavours. But you have to be quick to catch this delight! To ensure the divine freshness of our seafood, we only serve the Lobster Thermidor a couple of times each week.
