WHAT CAN I DRINK AT CUCINA RUSTICA?

Choosing the best beverage to accompany your meal is just as important as choosing the food itself, but sometimes it can be really difficult. At Cucina Rustica, we like to ensure you feel at ease when ordering your drink, although our beverage menu is extensive, we invest in our team to have regular training so they can let you know about the range of drinks available. Our fully stocked bar offers everything from beer to wine, and fizz to cocktails – the choice is yours!

1. Montepulciano

Let’s start at the top, the best of the best. Our red wine offering is large, with almost 20 different wines on offer, all varying in flavour, texture and scent. If you are looking for a full-bodied red, to accompany your steak or lamb dish, we would recommend the Montepulciano. Made from the Montepulciano wine grape in the Abruzzo region of east-central Italy, the intense aromas of red flowers, berries and plums shine through for this typically dry wine. A medium glass of this, will set you back just £6.50 – and it’s worth every penny!

2. Pinot Grigio

Moving on to our Vini Bianchi offering, a glass of white wine is always a great option with dinner or even if you are after a light tipple after work on a Friday evening. Violet, our bar manager, suggests trying our ever-popular Pinot Grigio. Classically known to compliment fish and chicken perfectly, Violet also points out that this is a popular favourite with the Lobster Linguine lovers and any of our dishes with asparagus.Tip: If you’re treating yourself to bottle, try the Gavi Di Gavi at £25.00 – you can thank us later!

“Italian cocktails are very simple, and they are the perfect drink for ladies.”

3. Prosecco

Moving further down the list, we start to explore the sparkling offering. Our Prosecco is mouth wateringly fresh and dry, with a fine perlage. We know how much our customers love our prosecco, so we decided to bring Bellini’s to Cucina Rustica. Adding just a little peach puree to a glass of prosecco instantly transforms one of our most popular beverages into a delicious fizz favourite!

4. Negroni

Whilst the origin of this particular drink is unknown, it was suggested that it was first mixed in 1919 in Florence, Italy. Our Negroni is a simple composition of Martini Rossi, Gordon’s Gin and Campari served on ice and replete with an orange wedge. This timeless cocktail remains one of our biggest sellers behind the bar and there’s no surprise why.

5. Strawberry Mojito

Last but definitely not least, is the Strawberry Mojito which Violet brought to the menu after a number of requests from loyal customers at the bar. This ‘special’ combines fresh strawberries, brown sugar, lime, mint leaves, Bacardi, lemonade and Grenadine to top. This fruity favourite is the perfect ‘after work’ drink to order as you wind down for the weekend.
