Cucina Rustica – Birmingham’s first #SecretSupper for Parkinson’s UK

We are delighted to announce that we are 1 of 6 restaurants involved in hosting Birmingham’s first Secret Supper to raise money for Parkinson’s UK. We’ve answered some questions below to inform you of everything you need to know about this tasty, trendy, exciting event!

WHAT IS SECRET SUPPER?

The Secret Super will see guests enjoy a 3-course meal at 3 different restaurants, all located nearby the scenic St Pauls Square. This multi-dining experience encourages guests to interact with new people. It’s an innovative dining idea that encourages networking with Birmingham’s professionals, creatives and locals, as you enjoy food from some of the Jewellery Quarters finest restaurants.

WHAT RESTAURANTS ARE INVOLVED?

There’s a total of six restaurants involved in the evening, and with a ticket, you’ll be lucky enough to dine at three of them in one night! Enjoying a fusion of delightful restaurants all in one sitting, will ensure you have a tastefully memorable night!

  • The Jam House – A live music venue located in a beautiful Georgian building, with a top-floor restaurant offering hearty culinary favourites.
  • Pasta Di Piazza – Traditional and honest Italian food in a wonderful, rustic setting.
  • Andersons Bar & Grill – A multi award-winning steak restaurant popular for it’s rare breed beef and emphasis on slow food and local ingredients.
  • Cucina Rustica – We serve modern Italian food in an elegant restaurant overlooking the beautiful St Paul’s Church. We’re also popular for our fresh seafood dishes.
  • St Pauls House – A trendy hotel with vintage-chic rooms, offering a modern dining experience.
  • Locanta – Mediterranean and Italian dishes, with an interior combining tradition and minimalism.

WILL I KNOW WHERE I’LL BE EATING BEFORE THE DAY OF THE SECRET SUPPER?

No, that’s all part of the fun! As you enjoy welcome drinks at The Jam House on the day of the event, each guest will find out where they’ll be eating for each course. You’ll have a host guide you to each of your venues, and all restaurants are within walking distance of one another. Any mobility needs will be catered for, just add a note to your booking!

WHERE IS MY MONEY GOING? WHAT DO PARKINSON’S UK DO?

All profits go directly to Parkinson’s UK. A charity that carries out extensive research to find better treatments and search for a cure for Parkinson’s. Money raised by the charity also provides the means to offer valuable support and information to people with this condition and to their families.

Parkinson’s is a progressive neurological condition. Consequently, this means that it causes problems in the brain and gets worse over time. The number of people diagnosed with Parkinson’s in the UK is about 145,000. That’s around 1 adult in every 350.

We are honoured to be involved in a project that we feel so passionately about. Parkinson’s UK do great things for people in need and this event is a wonderful way to contribute to the cause, meet new people, and enjoy a night of multi-dining!
